The first step to install Imagesized plugin on your website is to download the Imagesized plugin for Joomla 1.5.x (which is free) and save it in a folder on your computer that you can easily find. It will be a zip file.

Once you have downloaded the Imagesized plugin for Joomla 1.5.x, you need to install it on your Joomla website.

To install this plugin you need to go to your website backend administrator.

When you are in your websites backend administrator go to the top menu bar selecting Extenstions --> Install/Uninstall

In the Extension Manager page

1. Click the browse button and locate the plg_imagesized.zip file you downloaded. When you select the file, the location of the file on your computer will populate the package file box.
2. Click Upload File & Install.

When you have installed the plugin you can start using Imagesized plugin on your website.

To start go to the top menu bar and select Extensions --> Plugin Manager

You will see a list of all the plugins in the Plugin Manager page.

Go to the filter section on the right hand side of the plugin page and select group type: content

This will list all the plugins for content (or Article) you have installed on your Joomla website. Here is an example of plugin list.

1. Change the Title and give the title for easy realizing your plugin. It's better to keep the default title.
2. Enabled - means the plugin will do its job on the content on your web page. We select Yes.
3. Position - this is order we want the plugin to do its job. In this example the plugin will do its job first.

On the right side of the page In the Plugin parameters section we assign the following details;

1. Expire - How many days the cached-sized-images will be deleted. Quality - the image quality, the value shoould be in range 0-99.
2. Max. image width and height, or the sized image dimension, that images are sized in Article viewing. The smaller dimension will be not sized.
3. The category and/or section id(s) that the plugin will not do its job on the Joomla content.

Frontpage configuration

• Frontpage Only - Yes means the plugin will do its job on Frontpage, Section and/or Category Blogs. And the Article content will be not changed.

1. Thumbnail width and height, or the sized image dimension, that images are sized in Frontpage, , Section and/or Category Blogs.
2. The image decoration: background color, border color, hspace and vspace.
3. Image position: It can be left or right align

•  Text on Frontpage, Section and/or Category Blogs can be formated by Extra CSS, number of chars and text aligment (green border).

All completed - Let see your Frontpage, Section and/or Category Blogs and Article.

first of all i'd like to say that i really love thiss plugin u have made :) ! Awesome!

But i got a problem setting Background Fr color... I want to change it to : " #FFFFFF " but it still does the thumbnail background in #000000 (black)... any ideas how to fix thí problem ??

Solution:

This is due to cached images, which will be changed by Quality and/or Image dimensions. So you should change Quality value to 76 (the default value is 75) or Image dimensions such as Thumbnail width to be 121 and/or Thumbnail height to be 89. So each time for setting of plugin parameters, you should set new value of Quality and/or Image dimension parameter(s) to see the change.
